The small island states in the Indo-Pacific: sovereignty lost?

چکیده

The consequences of climate change are being experienced asymmetrically, with States which were exploited during the colonial era disproportionately bearing costs. Among these States, case Small Island Developing (SIDS) is haunting due to their increasing uninhabitability amidst rising sea-levels. This article will interrogate crystallized Western notion Statehood and urge a vision its four pillars as interconnected. By training postcolonial lens, it then exemplify ways in international law policy has been constructed wielded so invert interests SIDS, thereby necessitating proposed shift understanding Statehood. thereafter analyse array options available SIDS recourse, endeavour initiating dialogue that mindful particularities trajectories.
